Privacy statement
You want to have control over the online traces you leave behind and know what happens to your data. That’s why I would like to inform you through this privacy statement.
When you visit my site, email me, or contact me in any other way, I receive personal data from you. It may not be much, but I do store and process that data. Therefore, in this privacy statement, you can read why this happens, what happens to your data, and how you can adjust or have them deleted.
Are you younger than 16 years old?
If you are younger than 16 years old, you need permission from your parents or legal guardian to use my website, products, and services.
What personal data do I process?
JoConnect processes your personal data when you contact me. This can be done by signing up for my training, filling out the contact form, calling or emailing me, or hiring me for a lecture, training, or workshop.
This means that I process one or more of the following personal data from you:
- First and last name
- Address details
- Phone number
- Email address
- Other personal data that you provide to me, for example, in correspondence and by phone
- Bank account number
When you visit my website, I also collect non-personal information from you, such as:
- The name of the browser you are using
- The operating system you are using
- The service provider through which you have internet access
Why do I process personal data?
Broadly speaking, I have two reasons for needing your personal data. The first reason is to use them to maintain contact with you, such as making calls, sending emails, or sending mail. The second reason is to use them to analyze visitor behavior in order to further improve my website.
What do I not do with your data?
I do not sell your data or share them with others. I also do not use them to create detailed visitor profiles or make decisions based on automated processes. This means that I do not use computer programs or systems that do not involve humans.
With which third parties do I share your personal data?
Normally, I am the only one who has access to your data. However, there are third parties who have access to your data or a part of it. This only happens if the law requires it or if it is necessary for me to properly run my business.
These are the following ‘third parties’:
- The website host, for the storage of data from contact forms
- The newsletter software, for sending digital newsletters
- Google Analytics, for the analysis of visitor data on my website
What do I do with cookies?
JoConnect uses functional and analytical cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you first visit this website.
Functional cookies ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferences are remembered. These cookies are also used to ensure the proper functioning of the website and to optimize it.
Analytical cookies collect information about the behavior of visitors on a website.
In addition, there are tracking cookies that track the visitor’s browsing behavior, allowing for more targeted advertising. A cookie declaration is required for these cookies because personal data is used. JoConnect does not use these cookies.
You can opt out of cookies by configuring your internet browser not to store cookies. You can also delete all information previously stored through your browser settings. For more information, see safe browsing.
What do I do with Google Analytics?
The analytical cookies are used to use Google Analytics.
With this data, I gain insight into things like which pages are visited most, how long a visitor stays, and which links are clicked. This allows me to further improve the website and provide more information that visitors like to read. This information is stored by Google on servers in the United States and processed in reports on the website’s performance. Here you can find more information about Google Analytics’ privacy policy.
This data collection is done in a privacy-friendly way. I do not use a combination of other Google services with Google Analytics.
Google may provide information to third parties if required by law or if these third parties process the information on behalf of Google. I have no control over this.
How long do I keep your personal data?
I do not keep your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which I collect your data.
In other words:
- Are you a customer or have you been a customer? Then I keep your personal data for up to five years after the last necessary business contact.
- Have we had business contact for another reason? Then I delete your personal data no later than five years after the last contact.
- There is an exception: as a business owner, I am legally obliged to keep my administration, including invoices with address details, for seven years.
How do I secure personal data?
JoConnect takes the protection of your data seriously and has appropriate measures in place to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized alteration.
This website uses a reliable SSL certificate. An SSL connection can be recognized by the padlock and the word ‘secure’ before the URL.
If you believe that your data is not properly secured or if there are indications of misuse, please contact .
Do you want to view, correct, or delete your data?
Of course, you can view, correct, or have your personal data deleted.
